My Uncle Ralph was my hero. Anyone who has ever met him remembers his kindness and good nature. You will not find a better husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, or friend than Ralph Verrecchia. From my earliest memories in life, he was always who I wanted to be. Cancer ultimately took his life but his spirit will live on forever.
Everything I strive to be today is to emulate him and my amazing Auntie Linda. The void his loss leaves is impossible to describe.
He was so very supportive of us starting Always Be Kind – a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded to raise money for cancer patients and their families.
Donations made in my Uncle Ralph’s memory will go to Northwestern Hospital’s Patient Family Assistance Fund and to the University of Chicago Hospital’s Adult Cancer Emergency Fund.
